Admin file read and write via path traversal
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Path traversal in Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller before 5.12.5 and 6.0.0 through 6.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to access files. Progress has not published the affected endpoint, file-handling routine, or validation error that permits attacker-controlled paths to escape their intended directory. Administrative authentication is required; exploitation reads service-account-accessible files, writes attacker-controlled content to arbitrary directories, or tests whether named files exist.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=5.12.4
- Affected versionversion=6.0.0 <=6.0.1
