Stored XSS via unescaped Progress Bar attributes
Published Aug 1, 2026 · Updated Aug 1, 2026
Stored XSS in Powerkit 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Progress Bar shortcode attributes. The Progress Bar template writes the display value into page markup as HTML and emits height, value, and color attributes without adequate validation or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the shortcode; the injected script runs when a user opens the affected page.
