Access approval bypass via unchecked self-approval
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Improper authorization in Devolutions Server before 2026.1.23 or 2026.2.12 allows remote authenticated users to self-approve access requests. The access request status endpoint accepts a requester's direct approval call without enforcing the separate approver review. A low-privileged account and a pending access request are required; exploitation changes the request to approved without the required review.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
