Internal service access via unvalidated image URLs
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
SSRF in CowAgent 2.1.0 through 2.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to make internal HTTP requests through the Vision Tool. Vision._download_to_data_url passes a user-controlled HTTP(S) image URL directly to requests.get without rejecting loopback, private, link-local, or redirect targets. A configured vision-capable provider and a user-controlled path into the tool are required; successful requests can probe or interact with host-reachable internal services.
