Restricted command execution via unwrapped interpreter payloads
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
Protection mechanism failure in mosaxiv Clawlet 0.2.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute restricted commands through the exec tool. The guardExecCommand function checks only the outer command against denylisted shell patterns, then tool_exec.go passes the unchanged string to sh -lc without unwrapping inline interpreter code. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled input to reach exec, such as through an exposed chat or prompt path, and permits file deletion or modification within the workspace under the Clawlet process account.
