Paid API credit consumption via unchecked RAG sync
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Missing authorization in the RAG sync handler in QuantumCloud WPBot 8.5.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to re-embed documents. The ajax_rag_manual_sync() WordPress AJAX handler dispatches RAG re-embedding for an attacker-selected stored document without a capability check, rewriting rag_documents rows and calling the configured AI provider. Subscriber-level access, stored RAG documents, and a paid OpenAI, Gemini, OpenRouter, or xAI integration are required; successful requests consume the site owner's API credits.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
