CVE-2026-15580Network attack vector

Vault token disclosure via unvalidated postMessage origin

Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026

Token disclosure in the N-able Passportal browser extension before 3.49.6 allows remote attackers to obtain vault tokens via crafted web content. The extension's message handler accepts window.postMessage events without validating the sender's origin and exposes a vault token to an untrusted page or iframe. Exploitation requires active user interaction with attacker-controlled web content in a browser where the extension is authenticated; the token enables access as that user.
