CVE-2026-1556Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via URI collision overwrite

Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026

Information disclosure in Drupal File (Field) Paths before 7.x-1.3 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' private files. During filename-collision uploads, file URI processing overwrites the current file object's URI with a previously uploaded file's private URI. Exploitation requires a configured private-file field and a hook_node_insert() consumer that reads or forwards the incorrect URI, bypassing normal file access controls.
