Unauthenticated command forwarding before session authentication
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in Isaiah 1.36.0 through 1.36.9 allows remote attackers to forward commands to Agent nodes through the Master WebSocket. Server.Handle processes a nonempty Agent field, selects a registered Agent by name, writes the command to its connection, and returns before checking the client session's authenticated state. Exploitation requires a reachable Master in a multi-node deployment; direct Docker resource access or manipulation additionally depends on disabled, weak, or known Agent authentication.
