Authenticated browser script execution via stored user fields
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
Stored XSS in the User Management Module of SourceCodester Online Book Store System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run browser scripts. The module stores Name or Username values without sanitizing them and renders the values in administrative pages as executable markup. Administrative access is required to plant a payload, and a user must view the affected record; the script then runs in that user's application session.
