CVE-2026-15521Public exploit

Local file disclosure via unrestricted filePath read

Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026

Path traversal in n8n Workflow Builder MCP Server 0.11.0 and earlier allows local users to read files through update_node_from_file. The tool passes caller-controlled filePath directly to fs.readFileSync without a workspace boundary, then stores the decoded text in a selected node parameter. The caller needs MCP tool access, and disclosure is limited to text files readable by the server process, with contents persisted in an n8n workflow.
