CVE-2026-15519Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unconstrained package installation

Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026

Remote code execution in Strix 1.0.0 through 1.0.2 allows remote attackers to compromise its sandbox through a malicious PyPI package. The system_prompt.jinja policy permits unrestricted package installation, while child agents do not inherit safety notes, so target-supplied error text can trigger pip against an attacker-controlled mirror. Exploitation requires an operator to scan the attacker's service and an agent to follow its package-install instruction; importing the package then runs code and opens a reverse shell in the sandbox.
