Authenticated SSRF via unchecked MCP server URL
Published Jul 12, 2026 · Updated Jul 12, 2026
SSRF in AstrBot 4.25.0 through 4.25.2 allows remote authenticated users to make server-side requests via the MCP test endpoint. ToolsRoute.test_mcp_connection passes mcp_server_config.url into _quick_test_mcp_connection, which sends aiohttp GET or POST requests without validating schemes, hosts, resolved addresses, redirects, or private-network ranges. A valid Dashboard session and outbound reachability are required; successful use enables loopback probing, internal service discovery, and requests to host-reachable HTTP services.
