Privilege escalation via session-only scheduled-task authorization
Published Jul 12, 2026 · Updated Jul 12, 2026
Improper authorization in AstrBot 4.25.0 through 4.25.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter other users' scheduled tasks. FutureTaskTool.call checks only the shared session identifier, copies the existing task payload, and overwrites note while preserving sender_id. A user sharing the victim's group session can list, edit, or delete the victim's tasks; an edited administrator-owned task later runs with the preserved administrator-derived role.
