Authenticated command execution via unverified NTP hostname
Published Jul 12, 2026 · Updated Jul 12, 2026
OS command injection in TRENDnet TEW-821DAP 1.11B03 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via the NTP hostname. The /goform/system_ntp handler passes the unverified Hostname value to sub_41FBD0, which inserts it into an ntpclient command before system() executes the result. Access to the web management interface and low-privileged authentication are required; injected commands can read or alter device data and interrupt access-point service.
