Privilege escalation via unfiltered sub-account userdata
Published Sep 12, 2026 · Updated Sep 12, 2026
Mass assignment in MemberPress Corporate Accounts 1.5.39 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain Administrator access. The add_sub_account_user function passes the raw userdata array to wp_insert_user without removing role or ID, allowing protected user fields to be assigned. A subscriber who holds a corporate account can create an Administrator account or overwrite an existing Administrator's email address.
