Administrator takeover via unauthorized notification template update
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Authorization bypass in AcyMailing 10.11.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture WordPress password-reset emails. The notification-template edition path accepts a subscriber's update to the acy_notification_cms BCC field without an administrative capability check, so later reset messages are copied to the supplied address. Subscriber-level access is sufficient only when an administrator has enabled "Send website emails with AcyMailing"; a captured administrator reset link enables account takeover.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
