CVE-2026-15415

Arbitrary file overwrite via traversed workflow paths

Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026

Path traversal in AWS HealthOmics MCP Server before 0.0.36 allows attackers to overwrite host files via crafted workflow_files paths. The linting tools accept directory-traversal sequences in workflow_files and use the resulting paths to write actor-controlled content beyond the workflow bundle directory. Exploitation requires influence over the MCP agent and user interaction; writes remain limited to locations writable by the server process.
