Settings tampering and disclosure via REST authorization fallback
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Elementor Cookie Consent before 0.0.10 allows remote authenticated users to alter consent settings and read logs. Its consent-settings REST routes apply an authentication-only gate instead of the intended administrator capability check. Subscriber access suffices to disable the banner or permit tags before consent; visitor-log disclosure additionally requires a connected paid plan.
