CVE-2026-15372Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via empty passkeys factor

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Authentication bypass in Melapress WP 2FA before 4.1.0 allows remote attackers with a user's password to access that account. The passkeys provider accepts an empty authcode at wp-login.php?action=validate_2fa and issues a logged-in cookie instead of rejecting the missing factor. Reachability requires passkeys to be allowed for the target role and a valid password; exploitation assumes the victim's privileges, including administrator access.
