CVE-2026-15326Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin arbitrary file write via theme name traversal

Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026

Path traversal in Halo 2.24.0 through 2.24.2 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside the theme directory. ThemeUtils.unzipThemeTo reads metadata.name from an uploaded theme manifest and resolves it beneath themeWorkDir without normalizing the result or verifying that the target remains inside the themes directory. Theme-management permission is required; a crafted archive can place attacker-controlled content in Halo-writable locations, including the HTTP-served static directory.
