CVE-2026-15307Network attack vector

File write and SSRF via raster coercion

Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026

Path injection and SSRF in Django 5.2 before 5.2.17 and 6.0 before 6.0.8 allow remote authenticated users to write files or issue requests. GeoDjango spatial lookups pass string and dictionary right-hand-side values to GDALRaster, which opens dictionaries in write mode and treats other strings as data sources. A staff user with view permission on an admin-registered spatial model can choose file names and contents or GDAL virtual-file targets; a later application import of a written file enables code execution.
