Arbitrary file upload via missing MIME validation
Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in TYPO3 CMS 14.2.0 through 14.3.4 allows remote attackers to submit disallowed MIME types through configured forms. The FileUpload initialization reads allowedMimeTypes before concrete form properties are applied, so it never adds MimeTypeValidator to the server-side processing rule. A reachable FileUpload or ImageUpload element with allowedMimeTypes must be configured; PHP uploads remain blocked, bounding the impact to other file types and form finishers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
