CVE-2026-1530Network attack vector

Traffic interception and alteration via disabled certificate validation

Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026

Improper certificate validation in fog-kubevirt 1.5.0 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read and alter Satellite-OpenShift traffic. The create_client_from_token method overwrites correctly initialized TLS options with VERIFY_NONE, so the supplied CA certificate is not enforced. Exploitation requires control of the network path between Satellite and OpenShift; it exposes or modifies traffic but does not interrupt service.
