CVE-2026-15271Network attack vector

Root execution via privileged Boa configuration

Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Incorrect privilege assignment in TOTOLINK firmware 20260906 allows remote authenticated users to execute code as root through Boa. The User and Group directives in /etc/boa/boa.conf run the web server as root instead of the documented nobody and nogroup defaults. Exploitation requires a separate web-interface flaw; the configuration then gives code reached through that flaw full device privileges.
