Stored XSS via unescaped slider speed attribute
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
Stored XSS in BNE Testimonials before 2.0.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a slider shortcode. The slider shortcode places the speed attribute into inline JavaScript without context-appropriate escaping, so a crafted numeric value becomes executable code. Contributor access and at least one published testimonial are required; the code runs in the browser of anyone who views the affected post.
