Payment bypass via unbound PayPal capture token
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
Payment bypass in Subscriptions for WooCommerce before 2.0.1 allows remote attackers to obtain orders without paying the full price. The order-received handler captures a client-supplied PayPal token and marks the WooCommerce order paid when capture returns COMPLETED, without checking the captured amount or binding the token to that order. The WPS PayPal gateway must be enabled, and unauthenticated exploitation requires guest checkout plus an approved, uncaptured low-value token for the same merchant.
