Local process crash via unchecked entity reference
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Null pointer dereference in GNU LibreDWG 0.13.0 through 0.13.4 allows local users to crash dwggrep with a malformed DWG file. In src/dwg.c, dwg_next_entity dereferences next_obj after dwg_ref_object_silent returns NULL for an invalid absolute entity reference. The user must invoke DWG processing on attacker-controlled input; the demonstrated consequence is termination of that process, not code execution or system-wide shutdown.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
