Unauthenticated code execution via double-extension file upload
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Creative Themes Blocksy Companion 2.1.46 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload executable files via crafted names. The Custom Fonts wp_check_filetype_and_ext filter uses strpos() to accept .woff2 or .ttf anywhere in a name, so save_attachments accepts double-extension PHP files. Exploitation requires blocksy-companion-pro with WooCommerce Extra Advanced Reviews and Custom Fonts active; code execution also requires server-side execution of the uploaded file type.
