Authenticated administrator account takeover via email header injection
Published Jul 11, 2026 · Updated Jul 11, 2026
Email header injection in WPDeveloper Essential Addons for Elementor 6.6.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to seize administrator accounts. The Login/Register widget accepts a server-side email-header setting outside its client-side allowlist, while sanitization leaves CR/LF sequences intact. Contributor-level access permits insertion of a Bcc header into the administrator password-reset message, exposing a valid reset link and enabling full account takeover.
