Stored XSS in Loco Translate for WordPress before 2.8.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via extracted PO comments. Extracted comments from PO data are surfaced to translators as editor notes, and affected releases render those note and error fields with clickable content instead of neutralizing hostile markup before it reaches the admin page. Translator-level access or higher is required to place the payload in a translation workflow, after which any user who opens the poisoned editor view can trigger script execution in the WordPress admin origin.
