Subscriber-level stored XSS via read-only profile fields
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Paid Memberships Pro 3.8.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through read-only profile fields. The [pmpro_member_profile_edit] shortcode saved submitted read-only field values without effective sanitization and rendered them without output escaping. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the stored script executes when another user views the affected profile output.
