Subscriber-level stored XSS via unescaped topic fields
Published Jul 11, 2026 · Updated Jul 11, 2026
Stored XSS in Robin Wilson bbp style pack 6.4.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via topic fields. bsp_topic_fields_form_save() stores unsanitized label values in post meta, and bsp_topic_content_append_topic_fields() inserts them into HTML without escaping. Subscriber-level access plus bbPress topic-creation privileges is sufficient, and the script runs for any visitor who opens an affected topic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
