Plaintext-equality disclosure via static CBC initialization vector

Predictable IV generation in Red Hat 389-ds-base allows local users to identify equal plaintext values in encrypted directory entries. The LDBM backend reuses a hardcoded initialization vector for AES-CBC and 3DES-CBC, making ciphertext deterministic across entries with the same attribute value. Exploitation requires privileged read access to raw database files, such as an exposed backup without encryption keys, and reveals equality patterns rather than plaintext itself.
