CVE-2026-14961

Local SYSTEM escalation via unprotected IOCTL dispatcher

Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026

Privilege escalation in Pegatron TdeIo Driver 02-17-2025 and earlier allows local users to obtain SYSTEM through crafted IOCTL requests. The Tdelo64.sys IOCTL dispatcher accepts requests through the TdeIo device interface without checking caller privileges or validating user-supplied kernel addresses before reading or writing memory. Any local user able to reach the interface can overwrite a process token for SYSTEM access, with arbitrary kernel reads and writes enabling operating-system compromise.
