Administrator takeover via spoofed email-rerouting test headers
Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026
Authentication bypass in Winning Solutions ShopMonitor.io before 1.2.0 allows remote attackers to take over WordPress administrator accounts. The email-rerouting test mode accepts spoofable client IP headers, a format-only test UUID, and an attacker-chosen recipient, then rewrites wp_mail recipients. Because the mode is enabled by default and trusts loopback addresses, an unauthenticated request can redirect an administrator password-reset message and use its reset link to seize the account.
