Sandboxed resource overwrite via malicious page titles
Published Jul 13, 2026 · Updated Jul 13, 2026
File overwrite in Mozilla Firefox for iOS before 152.4 allows remote attackers to replace sandboxed PDFs or bundled content. The webpage-to-PDF save flow derives its destination from a page-controlled title and permits that name to collide with existing application resources. The malicious page must be saved as a PDF, and resulting writes remain inside the Firefox application sandbox.
