Secret exfiltration via automatic Markdown image fetching

Information disclosure in OpenAI Codex app for macOS before 26.527.31326 allows remote attackers to exfiltrate session data. The Markdown response renderer automatically fetches attacker-directed image URLs that the model has populated with secrets, transmitting their path or query data to an attacker-controlled server. Exploitation requires untrusted content to inject instructions into a Codex response and remote Markdown image rendering to be enabled; demonstrated impact is limited to confidentiality.
