CVE-2026-1486Network attack vector

Unauthorized token issuance via disabled identity providers

Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026

Authentication bypass in Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4 allows remote authenticated users to obtain access tokens through disabled IdPs. lookupIdentityProviderFromIssuer retrieves the issuer's IdP configuration without rejecting isEnabled=false before the JWT authorization grant issues a token. Exploitation requires valid client credentials, the disabled IdP's signing key, and the preview JWT authorization-grant feature, enabling continued unauthorized access after trust is revoked.
