Stored script execution via unsanitized SVG upload
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Stored XSS in the Media Manager in TastyIgniter 4.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript when an administrator views an SVG. The upload path accepts and stores SVG files without adequately validating or sanitizing embedded JavaScript before serving them to a browser. Exploitation requires low-privileged upload access and an administrator to view the file; a CSRF chain can expose the administrator token and enable account takeover.
