Subscriber-level product creation via unchecked AJAX action
Published Aug 23, 2026 · Updated Aug 23, 2026
Missing authorization in Automattic WooCommerce Bookings before 3.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to create draft bookable products. The affected AJAX action omits a capability check, and its nonce validation accepts an omitted token; the published advisory does not name the action or request parameters. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and exploitation adds unauthorized draft catalog entries without reported publication, disclosure, or service interruption.
