Premium license deactivation via derivable shared secret
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Improper access control in Checkimate 1.0.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to erase the license key and disable premium features. The public license-revoked REST route accepts a secret built as chk_ plus an MD5 hash of the public site hostname and a fixed string shipped in the plugin. Exploitation requires an active licensed installation and one unauthenticated POST; it sets licensing inactive, clears the key, and deletes its expiration value.
