Contributor-level stored XSS via unquoted required attribute
Published Aug 4, 2026 · Updated Aug 4, 2026
Stored XSS in ExpressTech Systems Quiz and Survey Master before 11.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in quiz viewers. The Polar question renderer emits the stored required setting into an unquoted data-is_required HTML attribute without contextual escaping. Contributor-level access and an owned quiz embedded on a page are required; opening the quiz runs the payload in each viewer's site origin.
