Unauthenticated order voiding via unchecked REST deletion
Published Aug 1, 2026 · Updated Aug 1, 2026
Improper access control in Nexcess Event Tickets before 5.29.0.1 allows remote attackers to void PayPal orders through a REST request. The PayPal failed-order DELETE endpoint accepts an order identifier and failed_status value without an authorization check, then changes the stored order status. Tickets Commerce with the PayPal gateway enabled is required; knowledge of a gateway order ID permits completed orders to be marked voided.
