Email enumeration and PIN guessing via unthrottled actions
Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Improper access control in Formbricks 5.0.0 link-survey actions allows remote attackers to probe responses and repeatedly guess survey PINs. The isSurveyResponsePresentAction accepts arbitrary survey and email values without a feature guard or rate limit, while validateSurveyPinAction checks PIN guesses without throttling. A reachable link survey and its identifier are required; the actions expose response-presence results and permit repeated PIN attempts without authentication.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
