Parser crash via truncated minidump descriptor array
Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in radare2 6.1.0 through 6.1.6 allows local users to crash the parser with a crafted minidump. The Memory64ListStream parser in libr/bin/format/mdmp/mdmp.c bounds descriptor iteration by the whole file rather than the stream's declared DataSize, so it consumes following bytes as descriptors. A local low-privileged user must cause radare2 or rabin2 to parse the malformed file; the grounded consequence is application interruption, not data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
