CVE-2026-14753Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated student-data read-write access via unchecked IDs

Published Jul 5, 2026 · Updated Jul 5, 2026

Improper authorization in stumasy commit 327d1b0f2915ba79d7ef8ebb74553e987609d9be allows remote attackers to read and modify student data. Note and assignment endpoints pass POST-supplied assignment_item_id or scratch_data_id values directly to database reads, updates, and deletion without requiring a session or verifying record ownership. Unauthenticated access is sufficient, and guessed numeric identifiers expose assignment answers and scratch notes to unauthorized reading, falsification, or deletion.
