Remote code execution via auto-loaded startup tiddlers
Published Jul 5, 2026 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Code injection in Tiddly Gittly TidGi-Desktop 0.13.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious wiki import. The wiki loader adds untrusted .tid files to the store, and TiddlyWiki registers their module-type fields and invokes startup exports with Node.js access. Execution requires a user to import and boot the repository, after which commands run with the desktop application's operating-system privileges.
