Authenticated service interruption via unchecked SSID copy
Published Jul 5, 2026 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in the HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 web endpoint allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The /goform/ConfigWirelessBase_5g handler copies an oversized ssid value with strcpy into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking its length. Access to the web management interface and a crafted authenticated POST request are required; the published proof of concept demonstrates denial of service, not code execution.
