Predictable temporary-file creation in Zach Caceres Markdownify MCP Server 1.0 and 1.1.0 allows local users to read fetched content. The saveToTempFile function builds names from Date.now() in the shared OS temporary directory, then fs.writeFileSync follows pre-existing symbolic links. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access to predict or spray the timestamp window and pre-create a link, enabling content capture or writes to files already writable by the server process.
